Last week I was in Albuquerque, working with a client who was nearly as big a fan of local restaurants as I am. We were able to indulge in more than one meal together, but my favorite was our breakfast that was actually more than I could eat. His business issues, however, were easily digested.

Like many of you, I was at the UConnect conference in Dallas earlier this month. I had a great time seeing some old friends, some clients, and also meeting some new friends. I stopped by the ec-bp.org booth in the exhibit hall, to say hello to Scott, and noticed that he was giving away a Chumby.

Last week I was in San Jose, California. San Jose is a nice enough town, but when the sun goes down, it's hard to believe that that there are somewhere around 1 million people there. It becomes very empty, at least in the part of town I was staying.

A couple weeks ago, I was cruising through a section of Central
California on my way to a client's offices. Since I had a couple days
on my hands, I took a route that bypassed the main highways. On my way,
I stopped in for lunch at a local restaurant that I had been to before.

I don't know if you've noticed that I've been silent for the last several weeks. Actually, I hope that you have noticed, but regardless... I've been in a whirlwind frenzy, driving around the country trying to reconcile a variety of versions of what seems to be one story, and it's nearly made me lose my appetite. But only just nearly.
