Announcing the 2nd Annual e-Commerce Best Practices Awards PDF Print E-mail

This year, eC-BP will award the 2006 e-Commerce Best Practice Awards to companies that have demonstrated progressive and innovative use of EDI in their e-Commerce initiatives.

The awards will be based on a variety of criteria including:

  • Return on investment
  • Integration with business practices
  • eCommerce as a competitive advantage
  • Most innovative eCommerce program initiative
  • Creative problem solving
  • Level of adoption
  • Achievement of strategic goals
  • Best use of technology
  • Innovation

In order to be considered for these awards, companies and teams must either be nominated, or request nomination themselves. If you are part of a team that has made significant use of EDI, or know of a company deserving recognition, submit their name and criteria.

Last year's recipients were chosen for the successful implementations of key projects.

eC-BP bases its efforts and direction on these basic tenets

  • The elimination of EDI/eCommerce testing fees.
  • The elimination of mandated third party providers or proprietary systems.
  • The elimination of EDI to FAX by establishing Internet access as a minimum business requirement .
  • Set realistic timeframes for the implementation of eCommerce initiatives.
  • Implement eCommerce systems that are compliant with industry standards and have professionals on hand to run them.
  • Active promotion of participation in eC*BP to your trading partners.
